Erythromycin Ointment For Cat’s Eye Trouble

Erythromycin for the eyes is highly recommended for infections caused by bacteria. It is prescribed by the physician after knowing the cause of your eye diseases. It is not advisable to apply it if the causative agent of the disease is fungi or bacteria. Furthermore, it can also apply to pets like cats having eye trouble because of its potent action of reducing the fast growing bacteria in a host. It is also given by physicians or veterinarians and should be used with caution. The increased risk is high if it is used or applied to low or high amounts.

On the other hand, veterinarian and lecturer at Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Rachael Kreisler found out that the most common problem in kittens are eye trouble and if not treated, it will lead to clouded eye or blindness. She is currently working at shelter-animal-medicine. She always sees cases of this problem possessed by abandoned  kittens in streets or other places. On the other hand, she also said that this antibiotic can be helpful even in animals like a kitten but in some instances, abandoned kitten are not treated with this kind of antibiotic because of its expensive price and availability in the market. She also added that many cases of eye trouble of kittens are increasing in every year so treatment and proper care of these animals are not maintained; thus, causing them to suffer and being sick all along.
